The
Cuckoos Nest is a beautiful, traditional stone Breton house,
around 300 years old, occupying an enviable position in the stunning medieval
town of Josselin in Morbihan. The house has been recently renovated and
is equipped and furnished to a very high standard. Bed and breakfast is
offered all the year round in three guest rooms all newly furnished and
with excellent facilities. WiFi now available.
The
Cuckoos Nest, while less than 5 minutes walk from the centre of
Josselin, is set in almost 4 acres of land and gardens, sloping down to
a stream which forms the boundary between the house and the parkland of
the Bois dAmour. The situation is beautiful, tranquil, very private
but accessible on foot within minutes to restaurants, bars, shops and
the attractions of the Château, the Dolls Museum and the Nantes-Brest
Canal (River Oust).
The
town of Josselin, designated as Une Petite Cité de Caractère,
is perfectly situated little more than an hour south from St Malo ferry
port and within an hour from the airports of Rennes and Dinard where competitively
priced airlines of Flybe and Ryanair operate from.
Josselin is also easily reached from Brest and Nantes airports (also Ryanair
destinations) as well as numerous other north coast ferry ports. Excellent
free autoroutes passing within half a mile of the town, link Josselin
to all parts of Brittany and beyond.
